Best TH11 Base Layout – Detailed Guide & Review! COC Base Link #1230

In this article, we’ll take a deep dive into a powerful Town Hall 11 (TH11) base layout that’s optimized for both war defense and farming. This base features a well-structured design with layered compartments, clever trap placements, and strong air and ground defenses — making it tough to 3-star.

1. Core Layout Protection

At the heart of the base lies the Town Hall, surrounded by key defensive buildings including:
  • Inferno Towers (Multi-Target) on each side of the core.
  • Clan Castle placed right next to the Town Hall, making it difficult to lure its troops without a full attack.
  • X-Bows strategically placed to provide long-range coverage — all set to both ground and air modes.
This setup ensures that any troops entering the core will face heavy resistance from the strongest defenses.

2. Layered Compartments

The base is made up of multiple small compartments, each housing one or two defensive structures. This layout:
  • Slows down ground troops such as Bowlers, Pekka, and Valkyries.
  • Reduces the effectiveness of Wall Breakers.
  • Forces attackers to use more spells and resources to break through.
These layered walls increase the time and complexity required to breach the base.

3. Strategic Trap Placement

The base makes great use of traps to disrupt common attack strategies:
  • Air Bombs and Seeking Air Mines are placed along common Queen Walk or LavaLoon paths.
  • Spring Traps are hidden between key ground defenses to throw out Hog Riders or Giants.
  • Giant Bombs are located between Wizard Towers and Archer Towers to damage groups of Witches, Minions, or Bowlers.
Tesla traps are hidden near the core or outside corners to catch unsuspecting troops off guard.

4. Outer Ring Distraction

You’ll notice that resource buildings like Elixir Collectors and Gold Mines are spread around the outside. These structures:
  • Act as a buffer to slow down attackers.
  • Distract ranged troops like Archers and Wizards.
  • Make funneling more difficult, forcing troops to split.
This setup delays the enemy’s progress and weakens their pathing.

5. Strong Anti-Air Setup

This base is highly effective against air attacks:
  • Air Defenses are spread across all four sides.
  • Archer Towers and Wizard Towers support each other for splash and single-target air defense.
  • Multi-Target Inferno Towers provide sustained damage to Lava Hounds, Balloons, and Healers.
Perfect to counter Queen Charge LavaLoon or Mass Baby Dragon strategies.

6. Hero Placement

  • Archer Queen and Barbarian King are positioned deep within the base, not easily lured out.
  • Grand Warden provides extra defensive aura to the core area.
This positioning ensures the heroes contribute to defense for as long as possible during an attack.

Pros

  • Anti-3 Star: Very difficult to fully destroy, especially with ground attacks.
  • Compartmentalized Design: Disrupts pathing and slows down attackers.
  • Balanced Against Air & Ground: Strong defenses for all troop types.
  • Great for Clan War & CWL

Conclusion

This TH11 base design is ideal for defending in Clan Wars and CWL. Its smart layout, strong defensive coverage, and tricky traps make it hard to crack — perfect for players looking to hold the line and prevent 3-stars.
Make sure all traps and defenses are fully upgraded to get the most out of this layout.
